January 8th, 2009 at 15:58:01 I have had an anal fissure for almost a year. It started when I had to take IV antibiotics for something else. I went to the bathroom and I could feel all of the sudden something cut the inside of my ass when going to the washroom. I have never ever felt so much pain in my entire life! It goes away for a couple months but I can still feel it. However the pain sometimes last for hours. It is the worst thing ever in this world to deal with.

January 8th, 2009 at 16:43:59 Yeah i have had an ongoing fissure for the past few months - all i can say is that it sucks. I encourage you to use metamucil though - or another bulk laxative that you can use daily to making passing a lot easier. Also keep the area clean - start early and you will see results fast - ... Also try and get a .2% Nitrogylcerin cream for it and it really helps in making the internal sphincter relax so blood flow can be increased and therefore healing can occur.
