Any who know of the life of Karol W., know that many a lesser man would have filled his heart with hatred and scorn. Not this man. He was so above the majority. It is hard to decribe in mere words. It pains me to know most will never know what he meant to the world. This comes from a Southern Baptist who knows it is my duty as a Christian Gentile to protect my jewish brothers and sisters.
  2. Richman Says:
I agree with you Darth. I read somewhere that this pope apologized to holocaust survivors on behalf of the catholic church.
  3. Jullien Says:
"Nas"? God bless all who wanted peace.God bless JPII, shalom Israel.
  4. Thaw Says:
I'm Jew and I give all my respects to this Pope, John Paul the Second, he was a real lider and a very noble man. Shalom to everyone!!!

great video check out Rabbi David Dalin's book 'Myth of Hitler's Pope' (Pius XII saving over 500,000 Jews...that's right - Rabbi the Chief Rabbi of Rome, Rabbi Zolli, converted to Catholicism around the time of WWII and gave great thanks to Pius XII for helping Jews
  7. Davine Says:
eli: You must have your facts confused !!! Either that or you are intentionally attempting to spread falsehoods. The Catholic church in Poland did not support Nazism. Secondly, Russia is not a Catholic country !!! The pogroms which you speak of occured mainly in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Let's of course not forget the "minor" role the Germans played in all of this !!! The Germans were innocent bystanders according to you, I suppose.
  8. Catti-Brie Says:

  10. EADAION Says:
So moving! The narrator is talking about one of the women survivors who, as a child, was carried to the train station following her liberation by a young Polish priest who would become Pope John Paul II and now she is meeting him again! Amazing. RIP John Paul and long live Israel.
  11. LIRIENE Says:
Look how he walks to them not they to him. He was a true compassionate creature who loved everyone. He met with everyone without preconditions. I get emotional every time I see his face. Swiety Natychmiast!!!!
  12. Terrell Says:
for some reason this made me get emotional and cry
  13. ZAHIR Says:
wrong i small majority did, in the 1500 century after king Jan Sobieski won over the Turks with his 30.000 army against 200.000, he invited all the jews to stay in Poland because there was no way for them to go, is that also an ignorant lie my brother? May god be with you
  14. Lynford Says:
I agree with you so much. We are all children of the same loving God. I hope Christians and Jewish people can find more ways to be united rather then divided. What the Church did in the past is horrible, but what we can do together in the future will be wonderful.
  15. NADHIR Says:
of all the popes, john paul was the best!!!! better than the current pope.
  16. Noreena Says:
truly a holy man who loves all people
  17. Atepa Says:
Let all who attack the pope and the Catholic Church take a lesson of love , humbleness and modesty from this aging ill beloved pope . Pope John Paul II R.I.P
  18. Rainor Says:
Tak ich szanowałeś a oni teraz nas atakują. Z ofiar zamieniają się w myśliwych polujących na polskie pieniądze.
  19. Yedda Says:
Poland openly supported Nazism during the war? An ignorant lie ,words fail me!Shalom
  20. Colin Says:
    very good!

  22. KIOKO Says:
To Elibouscher: my grandfather is one of the Rightous Among The Nations (see: Chasid Umot Ha-Olam). Sad to read your comment. More than 30% of all medals given in the world belong to Polish people. Everyone from my country who did kill any of them was and is our enemy too. Check the list of all Rightous from Poland (Yad Vashem, what was Zegota during Warsaw Ghetto Rising and find out at least who's Wladyslaw Bartoszewski.I don't know any anti-Semites from my country yet.
  23. Mychaela Says:
Well I do agree that the axis powers did take alot of power in the vatican, but it was the pope who told secretly to catholics to take in the jewish people who were being persecuted and this saved the lives of around 400000 to 500000 jewish peoples.. god bless!
  24. PASIPHAE Says:
you cant judge the catholic church by some corruption in the faith.
  25. Bardo Says:
With all respect to the Catholic Church, it is a historic fact that in countries like Poland most Catholic Churches (untill today!) are antisemitic and in the war openly supported Nazism untill the Jews were slaughtered. Let's not forgot that Progroms and attacks against Jewish villages or ghetto's in Poland, Russia and other east-European countries were mostly Catholics for centuries. Also in Holland our Catholic Church openly distance itself from Antisemitic Catholics in (east)Europe. Shalom
