Sachiko Kodama's "Morpho Tower": "This work is conceptualized as an "organic tower." The magnetic fluid, with a smooth black surface that seems to draw you in, reaches the top of the tower, spreading like a fractal, defying gravity. The form and texture of the physical surface of the tower constantly alter between the hard iron core and the changing form of soft fluid. This is a dynamic sculpture, with reactable fluid surface".

oh i've seen one of those. they have one in a seattle sciencey thingey where you can play with it in a little box. ite really cool but it gets kinda old after a while.
  2. VANNESS Says:
    LOL!! what an idea!
  3. TOBRYTAN Says:
someone should get one of them and walk into a thumbtac factory :)
  4. Aubrie Says:
Depending on size, 2 to three, and since it would be staining, no needles! Kinda like Henna tats. I am still looking heavily into it.
  5. Fausto Says:
hmm..so i ould like two or three tattoos before its toxic..SWEET>...and better blood flow..thats an added plus...and i want a tat which changes color due to magnetic zones
  6. HARTWELL Says:
Ok, from my research, I have found that this would NOT be immediately toxic. Seems that repeated or prolonged expsposure, (especially by someone with a faulty immune system) can possibly be harmful. But the principle of the odd benefits/attractions could be a sound theory. The blood flow benefits of magnetism applied to the body are indeed proven. And the astehtic value is a neat thought!
  7. APOLLONIA Says:
tell me what you find..at least wat info that pertains to bodily usage of this product..im immensely curious
  8. PISHACHI Says:
I wonder how the magnetism may benifit the body as well?? Maybe it is possible that certain designs with the fluid would be beneficial to blood flow? All in all, the prospect is worth looking into.. and I am.
  9. Carsten Says:
it may..although it would be less permanent and also extremely magnetic..or so i would assume....
  10. LaKinzi Says:
I wonder if this could be applied to a "safer" tattoo alternative...
  11. Nealie Says:
not a bad idea then maby the kid will give my pokemon emerald he stole last year back
  12. KWESI Says:
Then get one of those super strong military magnets, and pull him along. X-D
  13. FLEURETTE Says:
i love how it turns all gold colored
  14. BRUHIER Says:
im gona pour dis on my friend so hes stained black =)
  15. Aleron Says:
    Fascinating!
  16. Haley Says:
yes..somewhat if you touch it, your skin is permanently stained black until the layers of skin that are stained are pealed off
  17. Clare Says:
this could make a pretty insane christmas tree
  18. Dukinea Says:
Are Ferrofluids safe to touch? But, from 1:10 to 2:45, it really looks like some kind of morphin' drill.
  19. Cadha Says:
i want that for christamss ill be acupied for a few years
  20. Sherif Says:
maybe the metal under or maybe in the sculpture not sure
  21. MACGHILLE-BHUIDHE Says:
Does anybody know where is the magnet? is it an electromagnet or just a common one?
  22. Cayden Says:
Yeah it does, if thehunjo2 ate it he'd die.
  23. Suzanne Says:
Monkeys throw magic feces. That's how.
  24. Bemelle Says:
    1:29 ZOMG!!!
  25. OTTAVIA Says:
I agree Shadow, I don't believe in magic either since it's not "super natural" it's just parts of nature we haven't mapped fully. Most scientists reject the area completely, preventing any real research from being done without being ostracized.
